Maybe extra assurance? Or to keep us from just being scattered all to hell? I mean, the locked doors didn't stop the killer and Tamaki from running all over the place, so maybe they unlock as soon as we're asleep.

That's even weirder, though. We already were scattered last week. Why bother locking us for an hour only to put us to sleep and let whoever else roam around freely?
