It's his favorite. So admittedly if he's in a bad mood, you can hand him a donut and he'll chill out a little. Most sweets work though.

I'm gonna try to shove a vegetable down his throat every now and then though.

Don't worry. It's not totally unrecoverable. You just need to not fall down on your knees every time something bad happens. That's the opposite of looking cool.
