[Welcome to the top of the bar! That’s where Molly already was. You can tell both of these people are gay because they are doing this. Can’t fuckin’ sit in a chair properly.
He offers over the fidget spinner if she wants a go.]
Seems they were terribly vague about that. Don’t like to stick to one place longer than a week or so myself. Especially stuck indoors. You never realize how small indoors is until you’re. Well. Indoors.
[ she rolls her eyes, because that's what you do when you're not worrying but arguing more about it means you lose, and instead grabs the fidget spinner and spins it a few times ]
True. I haven't been stuck in such a small space in... a long time. [ she sighs a little ] I've got people waiting for me. If I'd known I was agreeing to be gone so long, I wouldn't have agreed, but it's a little late for that.
[His expression goes a little tighter at the mention of being gone for a long time, but- he seems to intentionally try and shake it off, back to easy nothingness.]
I’ve got people too, yeah. What about yours? Tell me about them.
[ there's a pause as she thinks it over, looking at the fidget spinner ]
There's Hazel. She's six. She's... been through a lot recently, so I wouldn't have left her on purpose. She's not all alone, of course, there's Simon, and he's my best friend and right hand man, but he's... [ there's a clear hesitation there ] They don't always get along. [ she spins the spinner again and, in a more confident tone: ] Of course there's the rest of the Apex, too, but they're together and trained, so they can take care of each other until I get back.
The Mighty Nein. A complete mess, but I suppose they’re lovable in their own way. There’s Jester, and I think her name tells you most of what you need to know. Fjord, an upstanding citizen who kindly tolerates me as a roommate most nights. That’s a chore and a half. Caleb, the wizard. Interesting fellow. Likes a good book, can’t look me in the eye much. Nott, his mother. And of course, the charm: my darling Yasha. A finer barbarian and friend I have never known.
. . . Then Beauregard. Who is here. You may have met her? Lean, mean, fighting machine.
[Molly voice: 52 card pick up /throws his tarot deck
No. He looks around, humming for a second while he thinks it over.]
Ah. Chugging contest.
[He finds two glasses, putting them on the bartop and uncaps a bottle of something . . . probably way too strong for this. Filling each one up almost to the brim.]
[ That’s valid. He’s laughing like crazy. This barely seems to bother him, aside from having to shake his head like a dog to get the worst of it out. It jingles alot when he does that because of all the jewelry. Like a fucking clown.]

[ why does she sound so proud of that. anyway, she listens to the rest, but perks up a but when he talks about Beau: ]
I have. She's got excellent taste in shoes.
[ hating heels isn't great taste in shoes, grace. ]
no subject
No she doesn’t.
[Impulse Mean. Then again, Molly has terrible taste in shoes. He’s out here in fantasy thigh highs. Like those are fucking practical.]
But I’ll agree she’s excellent in other ways.
no subject
Is this the kind of agree you'd say to her face, or is this a secret agreement?
no subject
Has to consider this. Eventually he sighs.]
I think I have to say it to her face now. At least once. I’m in a bit of debt to her at the moment.

[ she's intrigued. tell her the deets ]

Better? That way I’m drunk enough to want to answer the question, but not so drunk I lose the track of it.
