Throwing us off? If we had the body, maybe the clothes would've been a clue, but there wasn't any body left to find.

How did they even get rid of the body in the first place? Ain't that the biggest question?

Maybe whatever power they used could only vaporize his body- this sounds crazy.

Any theory we come up with sounds crazy, because there's nothing that makes sense about a vanishing body.

... Magic, I guess? It could just be magic.

Like "I'm gonna make this corpse disappear"?

I don't know. Anything I can think of at least still leaves ashes.
