I wouldn't have time to do my actual payin' job if it was like that. Everybody's just happy not to eat curry every day of the year.

I'm an photo studio assistant back home. I'm also an actor, so I'm glad they're flexible about my schedule.

But you live in a dorm?

Yeah. It's free for the actors who work at the company.

Aren't actors supposed to be rich?

Just the big name movie ones.

I'm a stage actor and those profits go into maintaining room and board.

Oh. Theater. Do you do musicals too?

Nah, I can't do those. I'm way too tone deaf for it.

But you do plays. So, like... [ she tilts her head in thought ] Shakespeare?

We have a playwright on staff. We mostly do originals.

Aw, but it's not as fun if I can't imagine you holding up a skull while wearing tights.

It's bad luck to name it?

[housewolf]

Only when you're inside a theater. Otherwise it's fine.

To be honest, it's just the first one that came to mind. I didn't see a lot of plays.

It's definitely not for everybody, but it's something I enjoy.

What do you usually do?

[alteracion]

There's no job or anything in the train, but I'm the leader of the Apex.

[housewolf]

Is Apex the name of the train?

[alteracion]

[ laughs? ]

No, the train doesn't have a name. But it does have a conductor. I guess that's the leader? [ waves it off ] The Apex is a group of passengers. We work together to survive. I got the name from a book! It's cool, right?

Huh. I always thought they were like ships.

It's cool. Is the train, uh... hostile, or something like that? [Work together to survive, what now??]

Sort of, but it's cool, it's a breeze for me now. I know all its tricks.

[housewolf]

How are you doing with this place's so far?

I could do without the constant murder.
