Exactly! Well, we mostly take in kids and teens, you know. A lot of the adults on the train just aren't trustworthy, or are too controlling. So we make sure the younger passengers know the truth about the train and how it works and get the best of it. It can be hard surviving on your own sometimes.
Sounds like a pretty big job! So you guys are kinda like caretakers, then? Making sure everyone gets settled and all that. Since you've seen the conductor yourself too, you probably have a really good idea of how it all works, yeah?

Oh, I wasn't the first ever. Obviously, the conductor's human. But no one else has been on the train this long. If your number reaches zero, you vanish from the train. It's actually pretty messed up to witness.
No one knows, but it's been spreading lies all over the train ever since it took over, giving videos to all the new passengers. That's never happened before.
What? No. Why Cast Away? [ shakes her head ] No. It's an introduction videos calling itself the conductor and telling new people to get their numbers down. That it's a good thing. It doesn't explain why or anything.
Right? Even worse, it's been targeting us and moving cars we were in and sending them to the back of the train. Cars don't move when there are passengers in them normally, because it's super dangerous, but it keeps happening recently.
I'm gonna be so pissed if I wasted five weeks up here in space trying not to die and eating space fries if I don't get anything good out of it by the end.
