[ Grace does not explain this text even though she knows Vira is not familiar with texting, because sometimes things are a little freaky deaky! and she hates it! anyway, it doesn't take long for her to be knocking on vira's door, anyway ]

[ Vira truly does not know what this means, but luckily she's in her room anyway, opening the door for Grace to let her in shortly. ]

[ The space is very neat because there's three good girls here and also Vira is obsessive about this sort of thing. She's also got some coffee brewing, from the smell of it. It's all almost normal, though she gestures for Grace to follow her into the kitchenette. ]

Are you all right?

[ in normal circumstances, grace would have zero problems being nosy and looking around, but things bad now so she follows a little despondently instead ]

I'm fine. I got locked into the rec room last night, but nothing bad happened. [ until they woke up. ]

[ Vira doesn't seem in high spirits either—if anything though, she's just looking grim. Calm, but not happy. ]

Ah, so nothing strange happened in the rec room? Did you all see or experience anything that stood out to you as odd?

Sort of. All the games turned into fighting games? [ whatever THAT meant. she taps the floor with her foot a little ] Did something happen where you were?

[chevaleros]

[ Fighting games? What. Once again, this means nothing to her, though she busies herself with her coffee mug. She'll pour Grace some if she'd like any, too. ]

I wouldn't say anything happened, but I did see something strange. And I woke up to these.

[ She opens up a towel she's got neatly folded on the tabletop, revealing a bunch of... bone fragments. Cool. ]

But it sounds like you didn't experience either of those things?

[ um. well. she has to ask. ]

Are those human bones?

[chevaleros]

[ she... shrugs weakly. ]

I think so, though I cannot be sure.

[ great! awesome! hellish. ]

Where were you? And what else did you see?

[chevaleros]

[ Things are going great! ]

I was having trouble sleeping, so I went to that strange, crystalline room to be by myself for a while. [ the ??? room. ] While I was there, I saw... something toying with a skull in the darkness.

You heard that scratching noise, along with something hollow, didn't you?

[alteracion]

[ oh that's fun. that's neat and cool. ]

Yeah. Right before we passed out. [ ... ] Were you alone in there? With that thing?

[chevaleros]

...I think I may have been. [ she'd considered that maybe everyone saw some sign of this strange creature during the night, but now that seems less likely. ] But it hadn't made a move to attack me.

[ hmmmm. yikes. ] Do you think it might've been whatever we felt last time we went in there?

[chevaleros]

[ she frowns before she sips her coffee. ]

That seems likely to me, yes.

[ that skittering noise was too familiar to ignore. ]

[ grace hasn't taken her own cup of coffee but she will like, sit down because idk that i added that in at any point ]

What did it look like? Could you see it properly?

[chevaleros]

[ they do deserve a chance to rest their legs at least. there's not exactly a ton they can do. ]

No, unfortunately I couldn't make it out. Just that it seemed to be playing with a skull.

[ gross. ]

And I found no sign of it or the skull in the morning, just these bones.

... No one's found Tamaki's body yet. Do you think those might be...?

[ curfew effect: tamaki's bones ]

[ she looks discomfited by that, because it's awful. awful bones. ]

I wouldn't rule out the possibility until we find his body. If we find it.

... If they're his, those might be the only things left of him. There's a lot of creatures who don't leave any trace behind.

...That's quite dark.

[ she doesn't look that fazed, just a little surprised. grace what kind of life did you have on that train. ]

[ a completely normal one? all aboard the fun train choo choo ]

Only about as dark as him being killed at all.

Fair enough. Though if it was that... beast that killed him, I wonder why it chose him and not me.

[ not in the sense that she feels guilty for surviving, because she doesn't, and she doesn't sound it. but was it just the beast's preference? was it restricted in some way? it's all quite strange. ]

I don't know. Why only him at all, even? We were all passed out.
