Fair enough. [ she pops a singular grape from her mound of snacks in her mouth as she starts piling it on carry-able dishes and such ] How's your knuckles? You did punch Grell in the face.

But ah - not bad. She dodged.... which was annoying, but admittedly I had other stuff to worry about by the end. I just can't stand assholes like that.

If you want, but I'm not sharing. [ it's teasing, though. but she nods at that ] It's not even lacking in decency. She was trying to get a reaction. It's awful. Almost as bad as that murderbot.

But ah - yeah. There's some real weird people here.

He doesn't go in my room, he knows better. [ said with? full blown confidence. though there's kind of a frown on her face when mineo says "weird people", but she doesn't say anything to that ]

Still... I knew something dangerous was going to happen eventually, but I never thought we'd get something like this weekend.

[he nods.... makes sense to him. even takeru has to have some respect for privacy for other people that arent mineo]

[ she can't help but huff out a bit of a laugh. she is still stacking snacks. this is snack city. ]

Fucked is about the only word for what we witnessed, yeah. [ she sighs a little, picking at her glove ] And we didn't even get answers to anything after all that.

.... we didn't. All we did was hurt another innocent person, and probably just - made it really hard for Molly-san.

.... so we gotta keep looking for answers. I don't really know how to make things 'right', I just... know I can't leave it like this.

[ ... she pauses in snack city, looking away ]

You can't make it right. They're gone. But we can at least try to protect anyone else from that. [ she hesitates again ] And... maybe do a memorial, or a funeral or something? Even if we don't have a body, I... I've heard it helps. To say goodbye.

... funerals are mostly for the living, and I think we've trampled on what he wants.... more than enough.

Yeah, of course. [ that's what she meant anyway, but: ] Even if he doesn't, maybe we should do something for Tamaki, though. I only spoke to him once, but it's... nice? To be remembered?

[ she has... none clue ]

[ . . . ah. he pauses at that before nodding.]

Yeah.

Flowers, maybe? I don't think we can do anything all that sentimental when we didn't know him too well but... At least something. Burn a candle, maybe...

Maybe. [ sighs ] We'll see what we can get and make do with that. There's not much else we can do except try to actually figure out what happened.

I mean - the easy thing to do would be to point at whoever we think would be that much of an asshole to two innocent people.

[alteracion]

I mean, again, there is a murder robot.

Yeah, and I think Fukuda-san's a serial killer.

... or even if he doesn't kill anybody, he's got a pretty freaky hobby.

There are so many weird people here.

I get that.

But I would like to reiterate that offering to drill holes into people is extra freaky, I think. I'd put him next to Chainsaw Lady.

Our list of possible suspects is going to be long, isn't it.

[sengokus]

Yes.

[no hesitation]

I mean there's a chance that someone not totally obviously a murder did it - but we at least have suspects that we can run through first. Once we check their innocence and run out of 'em, we can move on to other possibilities.

[alteracion]

[ she'll nod along, because it makes sense, but. hmm. ]

Have you done this kind of thing before? You seemed to know what you were talking about on Saturday, too.

[sengokus]

Ah.... Yeah.

[he nods]

Takeru and I work in an investigative kind of agency.... and before that, I used to work in Field Operations in the police. [he left because acab] So even though I don't really do trials and stuff for making cases, I'm used to tracking down criminals and handling dangerous situations.

[hence the 300% competence increase when you start talking to him about murder]

So the past few days were... kind of nostalgic, but in a pretty terrible way.

[alteracion]

Oh. That... explains a lot, actually. [ about both him and takeru. ] I'm sure it's awful for you, but I'm kind of glad someone has experience with it? Pretty much my only knowledge of this stuff is reading about it in books.

[sengokus]

[there's - the smallest quirk of his lips upward at that but he does look away]

... well, it didn't do much good this time. We both got tricked by way too much evidence that led us to one spot, and we didn't have enough time to second-guess it.

But - ... we can do better in the future. I know Takeru will, and I'll just try to keep up.
