[ flicks her fluffy ear lightly ]

But you did totally give Law a chance.

Yes, but since you got out fine and I got my bread tax, I'll let it go. [ like she is being very magnanimous for doing that ]

[ She chuckles softly before holding her arms open for a hug. ]

[ yeah alright, furry gets a hug ]

I'm glad you're okay.

[fluffier]

[ She's going to pull Grace down to her. Sorry Grace, she's not getting up yet.

But the feeling of the embrace immediately reassures something, fingers curling in the fabric of Grace's shirt. ]

Ya weren't too worried, were ya?

[ there's a bit of an oomf but it's fine yuel can be crushed by grace for a bit. her own hold is pretty tight! ]

I knew you could take him if it was a normal environment...

[ she trails off. this was not! ]

[ It's fine. It's how she'd want to go.

The memory of being in space comes back so clearly now, and she buries her face against Grace. ]

I know. I was scared too. [ . . . ] I dunno if I'm glad or mad that I couldn't see whatever happened to ya on Thursday. I hate feelin' scared.

[alteracion]

It's better you didn't. [ dismissive and a little abrupt, but she can go back to petting while hugging. it's possible. ] You don't have to be scared anymore. You're here, you're okay.

[fluffier]

[ She laughs a little, appreciating the petting, amazed at how Grace is always so steady. ]

It's hard to be scared while in yer arms.

[ it's grace's turn to laugh, a little smug, maybe? ]

Then I'll keep holding you until you're not scared at all.

[fluffier]

[ She's so warm here, and she can feel her chest go tight with emotion that she's not eloquent enough to voice. ]

Okay, then don't complain when I don't let ya go.

What's there to complain about? I'm comfortable.

[ casually! it might've been about emotions or whatever but she's back to teasing ]

Then I guess I'll keep ya here all night.

[ okay, that makes her laugh ] On the couch? Okay, but we could probably find somewhere better.

Hey. [ Her tail thumps on cue. ] It ain't that heavy. I've been carryin' around forever.

I don't know... it's a lot of fur. I bet it's still heavier than the rest of you.

I can't tell if yer sayin' I'm skinny or if my tail is just that heavy.

I'm saying you're tiny and your tail is huge.
