My sin?
[She doesn't know about asking signs, so she doesn't get the joke, but she'll show her the blue tattoo on her hand.]
Despair, apparently.

Yes. I admit I'm rather stumped. If I'm meant to indulge myself by moping about and composing poetry, I'll resign now.
Very possible. What's your. . . sin, incidentally?
It isn't so bad. Indulging in Greed can't be so difficult.

May I ask you something personal?

May I ask you something personal?
I spoke to Mineo recently. I mentioned I had previously been in a place very similar to this. He immediately asked me whether I'd spoken much with you.
Were you promised something to get you on the train?
[See, this is why she asked permission to ask something personal. She has no desire to pry in something someone doesn't want to talk about.
So she'll allow the change of subject.]
I was promised an opportunity to achieve something that would bring glory and renown to my House. The aim is not important - it is an advanced state of necromantic ability called Lyctorhood. I was brought to a fortress amongst the heirs of other great houses. We were told to make our home at the fortress, come to know one another, and work to devise new necromantic theorems. Eventually, we came to learn there were an intricate series of puzzles and challenges testing us in order for us to earn an opportunity to achieve Lyctorhood.
And then a Revenant began to hunt and kill us one after another.

Not long, I think. But I've wondered if I'm merely projecting my own experience.
Yes. And their answers were vague and inconsistent today, don't you think?
Indeed. Our host at the fortess was much the same. The purpose of their answers is to prompt us into further investigation.
[She even liked Wrath and Lust, during her brief conversations with them. But liking and trusting are two different things.]
What strikes me is how many of their answers were what we ought to do "for now." There's another phase of this, and we must be prepared.
